Tenets Of Faith

The Bible is the only inspired & infallible Word of God. II Peter 1:21, II Timothy 3:16-17.  In the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit II Cor 13:14.Three in one & one in three. John 1:1-3.  In the deity of Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his atoning death, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the father. I Tim 3:16, Eph 1:20-23  We acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ over all things in heaven & on earth & under the earth. Phil 2:9-10.  Man fell by transgression from a state of innocence in which he was first created, into a state of death in trespasses & sin in which he is held as a slave of sin until he is delivered by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rom 5:12-21.  In salvation through the redeeming blood of Christ by repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ & Confession of his lordship. Eph 1:3,7, Rom 10:9-10,13.  In water baptism by immersion for those who believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Matt 28:19, Acts 8:35-38. In the baptism of the Holy Spirit & that, it is given to every born again believer. Joel 2:28, Lk 24:49, Acts 1:4,5,8, Acts 2:28,39.  Sanctification & holiness of heart & the overcoming life as scriptural requirements for the bride of Christ. Eph 5:25-27, Jude 24.  Divine healing which is obtained based on the atonement. Mk 16:17-20. James 5:14,15. 1Cor 12:9.  The true church is one body of many members consisting of ?born again' Christian believers regardless of Church affiliation, & that we as individuals become members of that body through the power of the Spirit; & so we have fellowship one with another. I Cor 12:12-14, Eph 2:13-22.  In the practice of observing the Lord's supper as enjoined in the scriptures. Lk 22:19-20, I Cor 11:23-34.  In dedication of little children as observed in the scriptures. Matt 19:13-15  In Christ's imminent personal return in power & great glory, in his millennial reign & his everlasting dominion. Acts 1:11, Rev 20:4, Dan 7:14.  In the resurrection of both the saved & the lost - They that are saved into the resurrection of eternal life, & they that are lost onto the resurrection of eternal punishment. John 5:28-29, Rev 20-15.
